Does it matter if my exhaust is under water when??

Post by waka »

Does it matter if when I'm backing my jet boat in the river my exhaust is under water?? It's a diesel 80 series! Just asking as I've been told different things by a lot of different people. Cheers for your help

haha love it :D nothing like a 80series jet boat.

Just dont turn em off as they can suck water back up the exhaust, seen it a couple times at the lake and had to tow guys off the ramp

mate put a truck style flap on his jetboat and seems to work. we had to turn off a few time cos gravel on intake grate (bloody shallow river    )
Current 4wd: Surf Kzn185 ssrg factory Intercooled (yet to start build)
Past 4wd: toyota surf ln130, coil sas, 1uz v8 build
