Landcruiser Prado help. pic needed...

So I stuck a new steering box in the cruiser last night, 2nd hand box didnt have the bottom arm of the box on it so had to tak it off my bent/forked box. Dont think Ive got it centred right, could somebody take a pic of theres with wheels straight ahead for me? or know how to get it centred right?

Also rear locker has decided to stop engaging, any tips? easy to pull apart? just wondering if its seized from piss all work, never would have been engaged until I got the truck I wouldnt think.

Looking at my manual it should have some match marks on the the shaft and the pitman arm... Give then a good polish with some scotchbrite and see if anything shows up....
This is end on with the nut off.....

As for the locker, the electric motors can take on water and corrode...
Also there are some wiper electrical connectors which could gum up.

Factory electric diff -mine had a wire that had come loose just where it went in to the plug block on the top - was one of those annoying intermittent faults for a while till I found it. And dont forget you've got to be engaged in 4wd to activate the locker switch - that was another 1/2 hr of head scratching in the driveway one time.

The locker unit takes on water very easily, make sure u extend the little breather into the cab. As for taking it apart to drain the water and brush the rust off the gears, piece of piss. Just be careful when lifting off the end plate as u could damage the dowels if ur not lifting evenly. I also got some new o rings for it while I was there, all of $2 I think. When it's all back together make sure u cycle it a few times before putting it back onto the diff.
