vitaras are easy to mod the IFS not beam , but the go hard and take abit of punishing, put it this way i lifted mine to clear 30's for $250 and im 15, if i can you can too
im interested in how this thread is going,i too am looking for a new project, rally truck, winch truck and shooting wagon. was thinking either a suzuki jimny cut down to a ute with a v6 or fibreglass bodied 350 chev powered, nissan chassis off roader, i thought bout a hilux but they are too hard riding and its too costly to coil spring them. im looking around for something half done , so the moneys been spent already.
hmm sounds good. what did you have to do to get 30s under there? are they lsd or open difs?
there open but i know where to get cheap difflocks mines going in next week i found some second hand lift coils and just got some longer shocks for the rear the front was ok, make sure you get a EFI 16 valve vitara though they go a bizillion times better than a carbie 8v. great fun becuase there so light

also you could do a small body lift or make coil spacers out of warehouse chopping blocks, just a hole saw etc needed check out http://www.outerlimits4x4.com in the suzuki section lots of ideas there
i run the briscoes model of the chopping block lift. most people frown on it.. but after 3 years ive had no dramas... $8 40mm....
