cheap chainbar lube contact !

Hi guys .does anybody have a contact for cheap chainbar lube in welly.Am just about out and my previous contact has gone .Am looking for either 20, 60 or 210 ltr to split costs with a couple of mates cheers sig

ive got a 20 of genuine still stuff, not on the saw so dont really need it anymore. its had maybe a litre max out of it. it was about $8 lt when i got it but make an offer. its the thick bright green stihl stuff, way better than that recycled shit with a thickening agent in it

thats real cheap, i dont have any experience with castrol stuff, just stihl and total. but yea i think the stihl stuff cost around 130 for the 20lts. just watch out some cheap stuff isnt tacky enough

castrol can be a bit dear.
give transdiesel a bell, they seem to have good deals on the stuff. Sadly they don't have a branch in welly but they had one in palmy that's just a workshop/oil warehouse now. could get somebody that's up for the weekend of 2/3 feb to collect it for you and haul back to welly? giz a pm if you wanted it collected during the week or something if you go down this track.

I have been using chain saws on and off for 50yrs, as a contractor and home use, worked as a chain saw mechanic for 2yrs and brought my latest Stihl MS170 six months ago. I have never used any thing other than Automotive Engine oil and I won't say all of it was new.

yea i hear ya fitzy, ive worked on and off in the bush for the last 4 years whilst doing my forestry science degree. ive used engine oil before, it works thats for sure but it is a bit thin, doesnt stick to the bar like proper lube and when your not using the saw it seeps out. im a supervisor now and out of 36 of our logging contractors we have id say ive ever only seen 2 or 3 that use engine oil. does pay in the long run to use the good shit

Id be keen on some of the genuine stihl oil ...but not 20 litres ....4 would be heaps
Where are you chch or Wanganui ...im hoping chch as prob cant courier oil as its flammable.
Ive got a stilh MS231 ..i only use genuine oils ,..especially 2 stroke oil....Stihl need grade FC & most other oils are lower grade & will stuff ya motor.

As for Castrol above.. I am a Castrol reseller in the petrol station is that is HEAPS better than I can buy it for.... grab it

Yea ive seen a few 660s run lean and shit the bed from guys using outboard two stroke etc. its a bit dearer but worth every penny

Ive had plenty of flammable things sent to me, mainly being fiberglass resin, catalyst, and acetone, from hamiltron to gore no problem.

and you can buy oils etc from supercheap online, ive done it a couple of times now.
