Chassis welding/mods in Chch wanted

Post by Heath »

Hi Guys I've got a little work to be done on my WB chassis so I can fit my toyota fj45 cab on it (need the front tapered a little from behind the IFS gear through to the Transmission mounts).

Was going to do it myself but have decided that this one is better left to an expert with cert welding qualifications. Dont want to pay a fortune but am willing to pay for quality work.

PM me if you prefer.

Cheers,

Heath.

Yep it would if he was just down the road from me but he's not. I'm going to do my homework and get quotes from locals (and not so local too  ), before weighing up the options (taking into account traveling/hire of trailers etc) and making my decision. Like I said I havent got an infinite budget so have to work out the whole cost.

Going to be awhile now though (bloody visa bill - ouch - wifey and I will be having a chat about her "shoe collection"). Will most likely get the body rust sorted first anyway (have to now) and get it mounted at the same time as the chassis is narrowed a little. Of course to fit the body I have to fit the engine........ etc

Or Hayden at HRN. His fab work is the best I've ever seen. He did my FJ40 guards and bar work.

He's a shade north of Chch, just enough to be a consideration. Although I guess once a job is dropped off its harder to just drop in and anoy him for progress.
