newbie from southbridge canterbury

Post by bobthepainter »

I joined ORE in 2011, and have been trolling the forums for inspiration for buying a 4wd, had always liked the idea of a land rover discovery, so today I bought a 1997 v8 disco :D, Having daily driven a holden calais 5.0 v8 for the last 6 months I figure the fuel bill shouldn't be too different ( fingers crossed) I know its probably not the smartest purchase but I couldn't find a landcruiser or safari for under $6,000 with only 152,000 k's on it.

For now the disco will remain unmodded til I take it off road and see what I think needs to be change/upgraded.

Nice one mate. My old man lives there for the summer so I'm out there occasionally on Bridge St.
Few machines around the place, notably a nice looking G60 but haven't seen it on the street for a while.
Enjoy the toy!
