Post by a80crewza »

Hi everyone, can someone please put up a pic of where they plumbed their manual boost controller on a 1kzte and/or instructions on how to do it?

Thanks.

Do a search on Pradopoint forum.

Basically you put it in the line between the inlet turbine and the waste gate. I hope you have small hands and a sense of humour cause it can be a bitch of a job.

You see that little black tube on the turbo...
You need to interrupt that line and plumb in the boost tap....
Its a real pain in the butt to do but is doable. Expect skinned knuckles and a few swear words...
Its better to use new longer hose and get it out into the engine bay area.

Okay, hopefully i've done this correctly..

I'm going to extend the black hose into the cabin so I can adjust from drivers seat..

Tell me if Ive done something wrong :)

Okay, just relised ive done something wrong, the black tube and the wastegate tube need to swapped around.

Yes it did look wrong... Swap them over...
Also you might find you need to remove the check valve in the Tee piece...
I did with mine....as it was better without it... But try it both ways...
The open end on the controller will vent so put a hose on it and send it back into the engine bay.....
