might kick this one off a bit early. Not quite the weekend but finally got the EFI setup into my truck and working properly. Man what a difference compared to the carby, like driving a whole new truck!

finally got round to replacing the alternator in my bighorn


by god what a f@#king mission and ive only got the old one out so far
time for a few beers and putting the new one in and then all back together again

Will be going to get my exhaust altered and I will be getting my tank lifted so when I go over some low stuff I wont smack the crap out of it.

Yep its a shit of a job especially the oil line for the vacuum pump. If you haven't done so already unbolt the air con pump it will make life easier slightly

only replaced radio antenna, had to near take the left hand guard off to do it

There 17" rims, that Ive spun and flipped the centres
They come off like a 2010 prado but the very base model one.

and if you havent got it back together yet, leave the fourth (#### one,closest to turbo) bolt out..makes life sooooo much easier next time. it is not required to hold the ac on

thanks for the reply,mine are only 15s so there not the same rims but look identical(mine aren't green though)they are a good strong rim all the same,bloody thick and heavy shouldn't be bending them in a hurry,and i havn't seen any other safari's rolling around on them cheers craig

yes, it really is a bastard that bolt. Just be wary, that cast bracket is prone to breaking without said bastard installed

Went to fit inner tie rod on the TJ after it finally turned up from Morris in the states and made a rookie error of over tightening the castle nut. Ive been hunting everywhere for a replacement tie rod end (inner that meets the pitman arm) in NZ but no store lists the part. Anyone know if the V8 Grand Cherokee upgrade I see in write ups works exactly the same over here or if there is an alternative Chrysler Tie rod I can use.. Help.

I've used these guys when they were in Mt Eden in the past and did great work.

today started with forge1 and his brother coming over to pick up some spare front springs i had(good to meet you guys)then it was off to the pig farm for a bit of a play,caleb(filthy4x4)came along too,was dry up there but still found some mud didn't take that long to drive around with only two trucks,also had francie(the owner)as a passenger.after we had done a lap i atempted to drive a mud bog that hadn't been driven in 20years needless to say i didn't get far tryed to winch through it but snaped my winch rope,caleb tryed a snatch backwards but no good,so francie had to come to the rescue in his 110 landy used his 16500lb super winch with a snatch block off a tree and caleb anchored to the back of him to pull me out backwards so left there covered in mud inside and out,anyone thats been to the pig farm would know that it has some of the stinkyist mud you will ever come across,nothing half an hour and $20 wont fix thanks wash world.no pics from me as usual but caleb might have some.cheers craig

Replaced a torn cv boot and replaced a bent tie rod assembly from going for a play yesterday. Was worth it for the fun.

Well on Saturday went out to Karaka and had my tank lifted which turned out great job went without any hitches which is always good in my books, I promised some photos but unfortunatly I took them with my Smart Phone and then it decided to shit itself so Iam phone less WHAT DO I DO NOW AAARRRGH Help.

Went on a club trip from Roxburgh, over to Piano Flat via. Gem Lake, stayed the night at Piano Flat then over the Old Man Range to Fruitlands today. Was an awesome trip, some real big washouts, few sketchy moments and having my locker working would have helped but everybody got there with 1 tyre being the only victim.
