Good price?
Just picked it up. Little rust on roof just above doors and a bit rough getting into 1st gear.
Should I do full service+cambelt to be safe (how many $ would I be looking at?).
Any advice for tyres to make it a little better in paddocks etc.
Price check Hilux 2wd. 1989. 270kms
Re: Price check Hilux 2wd. 1989. 270kms
I just bought a 96' one like that with no tray sides or cylinder head for $400
But thats in Oz where everyone wants a 4x4 an 2wds are worth nothing
so that price seems ok

Didn't barbie drive a jeep??

Yep, good price. Youll always get your money back. A good tidyish 2wd ute always brings in around 4k in my experience.
Softroader VW Amarok nowadays....

is ther any indication of cambelt being done in the last 80,000kms?? if not i would look at getting it done as peice of mind at 270,000 kms would also do water pump there is a guy on TM that sells kits $180 for cambelt, idler, tensioner, cam and crank seals and water pump not a bad price i just brought one on a motor i am doing for a friend, but for myself i perfer genuine toyota if you can get it a trade you will find most of the stuff cheaper that repco/bnt was quoted 280 to do a 2lte motor. Oh add labour if not confident doing your self
Re: Price check Hilux 2wd. 1989. 270kms
First thing I did on my hilux was check for when the cambelt was last done, and then had it done.
For paddock / road tyres I would go for an all terrain tyre.
