td42t torque converter

Auto gearbox an converter out of my td42 blacktop turbo safari. Are there any differences of the torque converters an trans anything special to the n/a silver top? Im selling it and want to know how much converters outa the blacktop are worth on its own?

hi, i have the same,they are slightly bigger when fitting the auto and converter upto a silvertop by 30mm had my converter reconed for around $350ish, but had to send to auckland because of the earthquakes had shut the places in chch down so depending on the condition of yours is worth what someones prepared to pay just like anything. so that really helped you ah......NOt. sorry.

while on the subject of the torque converters, if you turbo a standard TD42 non-turbo with an auto gearbox and then you slap a turbo on, do you need to have the torque converter modified to suit the new torque curves etc?
