Great survival tools

Post by Dirtydog »

Just made both of these, both work really well, and really easy to make.

stove ends up being quite sturdy, and works just as well as a portable gas stove.

i used meths and worked fine. (dont use petrol)

Did you actually cook anything on it?
I think you'll find meths doesn't burn hot enough to be worth the amount you need to cook anything.

You would be surprised what you can acheive with a mths cooker. I used to staff youth at risk journeys were all the cooking was done on meths cookers

Still works well for something cobbled together in 2 mins, from a couple of old cans.

the way nz's going, if your out in the bush ya bound to find one, but the meths on the other hand? lol.

if its hot enough to boil water, its hot enough to cook an egg or heat some spaghetti.

also lasts long enough to cook noodles..

the oil lamp works really well too, quite suprised with that.
