Commy auto not changing from first.... help

Post by SV1K »

Hey all,

I have a VN/VP commy auto box that is hydrolic not controlled by the computer from what I can see..

Sprung a leak in the trans coller so replaced it and it's been bleed but it is not changing out of first gear, doesn't matter if I put it in first and push it to second or just take off in first drive, it just doesn't change ...

Any help or advise would be great!

Cheers

Having stripped 2 autoz down to every bit I'd say you have got some crap sucked in and is stuck behind a servo or one of the moving parts and won't move allow the oil to switch from one to the other.. and it'll be small as the inside tolerences are like fk all.. cleaniness in an auto is godliness.. so I'd say it'll need to be stripped and cleaned.. no easy task.. well not hard but you'll need a lot of patience and a LOT of room to lay out all the bits..
In the process of cleaning and putting back together
My 2 cents worth..
