WTD: 3L Turbo Conversion parts & Question

Post by Sh0tgun »

Quick question:
Is it worth using the oil cooler plate off a 2L-TE or just pluming into the alternator feed?
One advantage would be the change to the Z334 filter over the Z9, but is it worth the hassle?

Does anyone have any of these off a 2L-TE laying around?

1) CT20 Turbo
2) Exhaust Manifold
3) Dump Manifold Off The Turbo
4) Pressure Crossover Pipe with Rubber Couplings
5) Intake tube (low pressure side) with rocker cover vent tube if possible
6) 90 Degree Elbow Off Low Pressure Side of Turbo
7) Thermostat housing complete to where it bolts onto block with lines to turbo if possible
8 ) Oil Cooler Plate

Thanks

Z9 oil filter is cheaper 8)
Oil plate means the factory oil feed all lines up, but if you going custom I don't see any problems with teeing into alternator supply

talking about the factory oil feed,
the odd thing with the 2lt turbo setup is the turbo oil feed is taken before the oil cooler. buggered if i know why as all other turbo i know take oil feed after the oil cooler.

also the other advantage of z9 is its easier to fit remote filter and oil cooler.
