Tow hook question

Post by zukmeista »

I seem to recall seeing tow hook mounts on trademe a while ago, the ones that are designed to bolt the the rear four-bolt mount like whats on safaris, but can't find the listing now. Anybody know where to get one?

if i remember right that arrangement is not good. you will rip the hook off the mount. check on the patrol forum as i may be wrong.

It's not on a Safari, it's on a Daihatsu, I was just using a Safari as an example. The bracket that is there is heaps strong for a towhook.

'muzzaduck' was selling them on trade me, seemed like a good unit, haven't seen them advertised for a while though.

as above muzzaduck was making and selling them on TM for a long time, wouldnt be hard to get someone to knock you one up out of a few bits of scrap steel just make sure they stick some gussets on it, personally I wouldnt muck about with a bracket and hook I prefer pintles on the back but each to their own its over to your preference what you do,
