CB is AM, PRS is UHF. CB's are $169 + Aerial etc
70 series prado (KZJ78) and 90 Series Prado (KZJ95)

good answer dude,still laughing :lol: :lol: ,I was going to mount it at the back of my fpt cruiser,to keep it protected, which looking at it ,it may be say 400mm short.Any suggustions :roll:

the best place is in the middle of your roof....but that involves drilling a hole :roll: :lol: can get some small gutter mount ones as well, will check as well a extensions

Where we generally go 4wding the trees will rip it off as with any thing that sticks out,more shit you have sticking out the more it costs you,yep. :idea: :idea:

you dont find out unless you ask mate, yep most people use UHF instead of older AM CB but not all so it would probably pay to check with the guys you go out with to see what they are using

Got some more of the 7700's at the $255 price which have just arrived today, limited numbers (some are already sold), if you want one pm me (first in gets them). Got a cb in aswell

coming :wink:, the shorter short ones need a groundplane tho so need to be mounted in certain places, whereas the longer short ones are independant and higher db gain

last time i checked the older ones eg 015, 400 & 500 werent

Unfortunately the UH 015sx is not upgradeable to 80 channels on a recent trip to Sydney I noticed some people had added the extra channels to existing wide band radio which caused adjacent channel interference.
The basic design of the uh012, uh013 and uh015sx band is over ten years old so was designed well before band expansion was thought of.
More modern radio's that use pc for programming such as the icom ic-400pro and a few others can be reprogrammed for not only the 80 channels but also to narrow band operation.
