Most Toyota guys wont really care as its a common thing to chop and change, nissan guys on the the other hand well................ :twisted:

best of both i suppose, ive done it, putting the ever powerful RB30 with a twin cam turbo set up in a hilux.

That i can understand,

But why put a 4.2l diesel from a toyota, in a truck that came out with a 4.2l diesel engine anyway? at least size would be the same but wouldnt ya be better shoving a turbo on it and calling it a day?

i suppose each to their own, hes obviosly got enough money to fling lol

Mick has peddled it for just on 10 years in various guises – comp vehicle, tourer, with aftermarket turbo, airbox, exhaust and suspension upgrades


Must have just figured the toyota motors specs were what he was after. But didn't want to change wagons. Why not alter nissan engine to do what the toyota one does? Maybe because the he didn't get the
push-button, selectable 2WD to AWD for on-road use, with centre diff lock
.
Or maybe, just maybe, it's because it's gunna be one of the most talked about (loved and hated) wagons around.....

If you drive a e.g 98/99 4.2td patrol then jump into a 98/99 4.2td landcruiser
Youll know why he choose yota powa haha
