Tyre repair specialist needed in chch

Post by QUADRACER »

Looking for a tyre repair specialist in chch, have a couple of splits in a brand new simex.
Will never see road use, and will be mounted on a bead lock rim.
Is only a spare, and will most likely see no action.
Any contacts please .

Try "The Tyre General" on Treffers road, sockburn.

I remember having a conversation with someone there and he told me that if I ripped a tyre not to throw it away as they could have them repaired. I not sure if that meant they repaired them or sent them somewhere else?

However it would be worth a phone call at least.

contact info is;

48 – 52 Treffers Rd,
Sockburn
Christchurch

Hi Bob.

I highly recommend "Marshall Auto" down the road on Wairakei Road.
Ask for Greg the owner. He knows me well.
Before he changed their name they were known as, "Ian Scobie Tyres". For a few years running he'd always park the promo Zuk at the Sheffield Mud Plugs and always supported the 4X4 trucks.
The whole team really go the extra mile for their clients.

Their website.

if all else fails
Auckland Tyres and otahuhu auckland would be the chaps to talk to

i had a tee-tree puncture my swamper side wall and he fixed it up good including smoothing the inside so the tubes wouldn't get nailed

although i told him it was for off road use only and running on beadlocks and at stupidly low pressures, it didn't bother him at all and once done said i could run them on the road no problems at all

freight would be a little bit at a guess but still less than throwing the tyres away
