Not being a jerk, but did your fishing involve 4wd? Going off topic otherwise.

You will have to ask lax2wlg, it's his truck.
It would need to be adjustable though and I have no idea on cert issues. But was cool to see, memories of cruzing in the Kingswood :-)

Oh I just love the Winch and Land Anchor.
Hauled the truck with pigs in tow off the bank. Off to slaughter tomorrow morning...yummy!

Hope you didn't treat those piggiest to an impromptu downhill adventure?.. Track looks pretty flat if you were following that sheep track's line...

Finally got my front diff removed, and a r200a up where it used to sit. Unfortunately no photos as forgot to take camera :(, but its a squeeze.
Had to space up LH engine mount approx 10mm to give sump clearance.
Time will tell if thats enough.
Big thanks to Sibainmud for chat, yep makes it much easier to cut out those bolts to remove subframe (ya might even say makes it possible  )

You're most welcome Nath. I would almost considered to be an expert on D21 front diff removal and fitment :P

Pig Farm for me today. Dry! First time according to Paul (the land owner), every truck went from the start to the finish in one piece. Drove/winched through the lake again. Clean truck day tomorrow as no paint colour visible anymore

Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

same thoughts here
during the day if they want me to prepay then i drive away, as i detest being called a thief!!
if they are having "drive offs" then get off their lazy arses and start doing the service part of service station that is in their names.
should really have a go at them for misrepresentations as they don't know what service means now, (except for Z during the day only)

middle of night i have no problems on prepay as it is a security issue and yes they are getting robbed so no problem..... but during the day its a way different story. i don't go to gull anymore for this very reason

not grumpy at all

imagine if you had to pass a couple of hundred dollars over the counter as you entered a supermarket...you will have all the lefty's wringing their hands tut tutting away saying there needs to be a government funded international enquiry, on how these nasty courtells are running their business. but servo's, oh that's all right, yes the common herd are all thief's so make them prepay...
stuff'em is what i say

as i said if they want prepay, then drive away

this has done the rounds a few times now

and there was an off topic weekend thread created.......

http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/ ... m.php?f=70

but as you can see, the off topic thread is a little used one as most folks browse this forum using the new posts/active topics buttons and therefore only see the 4wd related one and just add their weekends activities in there

as with everything else on this site, its one of those things that rears its head every few years and causes some folks to get upset

Thanks Skid and Swamped for clarifying before I could.

I thought with the overwhelming support in the site future thread, people would be more receptive to keeping technical vs non-technical threads separated. It does help to read which sub-forum the thread is sitting under.

Finally managed to kill the Right CV on my KZJ-71 Prado. Been dodgy for months and I have been nursing it.
Interestingly, having disconnected the hubs, the wheel revolved again but the lock was crap! 4 more hairpin turns on that track had to be taken as 4 point turns rather than just getting around in one.
Will be interesting to see how much damage there is.

Anyone know a price performing supplier of factory CVs?

Wanting quality...
Had wanted to fit some Longs from Suzolla, but sadly the current budget is a bit stretched

Took the playdoh out for a easy run yesterday... Our clubs gymkhana day..
Even got the wife to drive it ! Tested out the WTA intercooler again... Seems to be working well....Will give it a stress test over Easter...
Also the factory 80 coils I put in the back work a treat. Not so bouncy now.. And lets the suspension flex over the lumps... :D So hopefully it wont bounce me into banks when you drop into holes

Yeah sorry guys that was my bad, didnt read the subforum part, only the This weekends achievment part.

although i did drive down in the bighorn its still a bit off topic.

now, back on topic however, got out yesterday and looking at the bighorn as its been getting a bit slack, looked under the bonet and got the gf to give her a rev, next thing exhaist smoke blows out in front of me.

dam turbo has loosend and now has a couple of mm gap so isnt spooling properly as the gases are just being let out till the turbo picks up.

Looks like its going to be a fun job......
