Hey guys. I'm going to throw on my new silverstones 33s on the disco 1 this week. Today even... The only thing is... I'm going to need to trim a little more from the guards etf.
Is there anyone around auckland with a flex ramp type setup that I might be able to use this week sometime just to test?
Possibly even open to forklift flexing like I see I'm the pics all the time! Haha
Cheers for your help
Alex
Flex ramp needed or similar to use this week in auckland?
Re: Flex ramp needed or similar to use this week in auckland
Better test is to take a spring out on one side and then jack axle onto the bump stop as this will better reflect the dynamic conditions.

Cheers Tim. That makes sense. But I'm too lazy to take springs out this week. Just want a simple check. I'm positive the tires will rub inside the guards. I definitely need longer bump stops. Just kind of want to make sure the outer guards don't go slicing chunks off my new tires when I take her out this weekend

A pile of dirt/hill with a steepish face or a drain on the side of the road can do the same thing to a certain extent. Thats all I've used in the past in a pinch. It won't show you the extra possible compression from bouncing but will give you a good idea. Just hit any of those at an angle and it will do it.
I've used a lack of flex and a drain to change a tyre without a jack before too

I'll neaten things up eventually with flares. At least I should get by without shredding too much in the meantime
