Dangerous Roads TV show

Post by tycho »

Tonight 9.35 TV one. This show seems to be getting good comments from 4wders overseas. Couple of comedians driving across Siberia in Nissans- sounds funny to me :)

Yea I've been recording this each week and watching when I find time. It's not bad, similar vain to the show where they dropped the Jeep into random places and those guys had to drive out. A lot of set ups for the camera to make it looks good. I found the drive through South America to be the best so far ep03 I think it was.

Yea not a bad show! Liked the one where they drove the GQ up through Nepal or something. Thanks for the reminder, I always miss it!

-70 degrees is pretty extreme alright. Thought that truck could of had better rubber on it. Chains might have helped too. It's a good series I recon.

Least they used spades and didn't go straight for the winch. There was only 1 spot t hey could of used the winch by look of it though

Thought there choice of tyre was on the money as the snow over there is different to ours. Our snow is wet an slushy where as the snow that you get in that corner of the world is a lot dryer so you want to be packing it under your wheels not digging in

Seems the tele is pretty international. The programme with the Nissan sounds very similar to one that is currently showing in the UK - titled 'Driven To Extremes'. First episode was driving through Siberia - would have said it was more about surviving the cold rather than off roading. This weeks episode was driving through the mud in Malaysia - now that was more like it.
The other programme touched on in this thread sounded very similar to a programme called 'A Car to Far'. Jeep dumped off somewhere and the guys had to find it before setting off on an off-roading task.

I was a bit disappointed and turned it off when they turned around so close to their destination.
Admittedly we are experienced in driving in soft deep snow but slow and steady they would have made it! And chains would have been a great idea :)

I watched it until it got too late to stay up.....pretty damn sure they didn't have it in 4wd along that road for some parts, after they ran off the road they put it in 4wd and presto...back on the road.

Looked like a Kings road too so prob had factory diff lock. Years ago after a good dump I used to drive through the Lake Lyndon road with the kids, as long as you kept moving and avoided the thick spots I never had a prob.
Even got to the Porters Pass end one time and came across a subaru that had run off the road thinking they could get through

Never saw 2 fellas smile so much when I came round the corner towards them.

the lezzer looking one couldn't shut up about tits
I felt like I needed to go to her house and do all the jar lids in her pantry up real tight just to piss her off.

Would love to have a cruise through some of that 'highway' they drove. looks pretty cool.

Yeah the road was cool, and the Ford Everest wagon had me confused as to what it was for a while.

The lezzer seems to think she needs to be as butch and brash as possible, and that required lots of goings ons about her knockers, .... what about their dance duo? Didn't ya just love that?
