Oh awesome I was just looking at that to nice rig have you done panhard rods and drop boxes if not how does it drive I'm in the same boat wanting to lift but everybody keeps telling me to stay away from bodylifts with these big vehicles I'm all new to it I've got to fit 35s aswell on 15x10" rims

Body lifts are mint if done properly, it's a cheap way of getting extra clearance, mine has a 2 inch body lift and 5 inch spring lift wouldn't change a thing about the set up,

drives great man, still wanting to do panhards at some point once the 35"s are on.

Sleeper setup build, includes a storage box for the high lift, removable extension over the 2nd row (no screws, pinch fit between a ally box section and the 1st row). Also hinged storage area for straps & strops.

18mm, was CHEAP at Bunnings Porirua, couldn't say no! Only used 1 sheet of 1200x2400 for the top.

Just a tiny update, literally! I ghetto ran 24v for the rear dash cams by utilizing power from my rear demister (with switch!) because the rear demister doesn't work and by my entirely non scientific research deduced that the camera will use less power than the demister.

I've just updated this (demister power was done months ago) by installing a dual outlet 12v cigarette extension. Got it from Jaycar for $15 and also brought a soldering iron for $20 which worked a treat.

Had to install the outlet somewhere where I wouldn't pop my air mattress when the 'sleeper mode' is engaged. Door card to go back on once 2nd camera arrives and is installed.

Cameras arrived, newer model/firmware and much better picture/video quality.

Install finished, happy with how the back door power supply came out - can still use it for other accessories if needed (eg when camping).

CB radio installed mid 2013, had Kerry from Towbars fix me up a quick antenna mount too.


Went with another GME as I've been so happy with their UHF.

Rust has been cut and plated by Just Rust in Tawa. Extremely happy with their work (they said colour wasn't likely to match - I can't tell the difference) and very competitive pricing.

they also installed my solid window glass (replacing the rusted out sliding window) and seals. awesome service!

Chucked some GME extension speakers in, makes a huge difference over the built in speakers, especially on the UHF as its buried inside the dashboard.

Found I had an issue when towing after lifting the truck... the tow bar is just a bit too tall!!

After a couple of different iterations (thanks Kerry!).....

Forgot - a couple of pix of the sleeper setup in action. Storage area worked mint, fitted 20 litres of water and 20 litres of diesel under the front (near where pillows are)

Cheers I'm quite happy with it! Just cut the motherboard mount plate out of an old ATX case and attached the psu and hdd to it and screwed the whole lot to the wall
