PTO transfercase drive gear LJ78/KZJ78

Post by micahb »

PTO transfercase drive gear wanted. any idea where i can find one? mine doesnt have one and been looking for one for a while. Will one fit from any toyota PTO drive? My search would broaden dramatically if they are all the same.

Gear from the older 70 series fit (same transfer case)
You can recycle the longer spacer that's currently in there and have it turned down on a lathe..Just remove the thickness of the gear....

Ive got heaps of them down here :D flick me a pm if you want one.
Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

Hi micahb. I have a spacer and pto gear that I removed from a HZJ73 (1993 mid wheel base with 1HZ motor, manual gearbox, usual split transfer case) that I don't need. A1 condition - never had pto winch etc.

I removed them when I replaced the transfer case input gear with one of the aftermarket long spline ones to get around worn splines on input shaft.

Happy to move it on at sensible price. You'd just need to check transfer cases were the same but from info above it appears as if it is. Get in touch if you're interested.

Cheers
