ifs diff seal

how hard is it to change the axle seal on the drivers side of a surf ifs diff? Can you do it while its still in the truck, looks easy but not sure??

Once the CV is out of the way the axle stub that goes into the diff housing can be pried out with a couple of small bars.

I assume this is the area you are talking about?

There is a ring on the inner side of the axle which will most likely break when you pry the axle out, if it doesn't it should probably be replaced anyway.
