Would suggest somewhere that shinys can drive, a BBQ on the beach and a few beers afterwards (disclaimer as long as you can legally drive home), will be familys going as well so needs to be family friendly.

I had hoped someone would take this on and lead this (subtle hint here huh?)

Heard of that Rust thingy? ...salt water etc......Shedrovers aren't 100% alloy and do rust !!!

Re an ARAC trip leader Ron may be avaliable, I understand a permit may be required. what area's up there are "playable" and which ones do we need to be careful of?

Pretty much everywhere is playable it just has to be on your permit. When you organise the permit with the ranger you tell him where you want to go and he lets you know weather its ok or not.

are you guys crazy!!!!! how are you going to get the likes of mark in his LWB high top patrol...and me for that matter throught there lol ......anyway when is this going to be why dont we incorperate it into the feilding trip because thats on the beach/pine forest and theres no set date for that yeat but if its after terawhiti trip it will be around the right time too, or if this isn't a good idea you gotta be aware that this trip is still going on eg. clash etc

Remember it needs to cater for the newbies and shiny trucks that don't like scratches etc....what about terawhiti and a bbq etc in a sheltered part and evening drive out or something? or Red Rocks (can orobably get hold of a bach there).

Meet at Red Rocks carpark drive round to Cable bay or that training area, have a BBQ, drink, talk shit, then go out via terawhiti station stopping anywhere that looks interesting and having a play as we go. Are you able to organise us access through terawhiti station Jerry???

On the 2nd low tide is at 9am on the 9th it is high tide at 9am So maybe go the 9th meet at 10 start trip at 10.30 and head around as the tide is going out. Or do it the oppisite direction as it will be low tide about 3.30pm.

Mine may be done I checked up on it yesterday they hadnt started on the motor yet but all other wiring was done, but even if it is going probly wont be certified so wont beable to take it on a trip with different start and finish points.

The competition part of it is on the 10th they are going in there on the 9th to play, set-up and camp over, im going to enter so was planing on going in on the morning of the 10th.

Otherwise we can do it in the 2nd or 16th (I cant make it on the 16th so there will need to be annother trip leader). Thoughts?? 9th it gives you guys two weeks to clean the mud out of your radiator from terawhiti. But the 2nd is actually probly better tides.
