Dash warning lights.. Help

Post by a80crewza »

Hi all,

So started up my truck this morning, drove a bit, then 4 dash lights came on simultaneously  (battery light, AT oil temp, T-belt and the symbol right next to the T-belt light), drove for a bit then they went away.

Then on the way home from work, they lit up again. Sometimes the lights would stay lit up, Sometimes turn off, then on again :?: Also noticed that when I was indicating the dash lights flashed in sync with the indicator. Also dash lights came on when I put truck in reverse. But there was no definitive pattern.

Could it be a bad earth? ECU?

Truck is a KZN130 :)

Cheers

I had this happen in a car when the alternator went bad... Voltage reg went and caused some strange dash board funky lights....
Funny thing the batt light was fine

I got lucky with my Hilux, it was a loose alternator belt (as opposed to alternator) that needed fixing

I had this happen just the other day in my LN85 2wd.

Mate was standing on the rear bumper, stood on the trailer plug so I figured it was that.

Was just rolling down to the house from the paddock.

Hasn't happened since but maybe the alternator brushes are due for renewal.

Be interested to know if it turns out to be alt
