Very true.
But then I'd miss out on the bigger brakes.

you need bigger brakes in a SUV why? fair enough in a car capable of going well beyond 100kph on a racetrack.......

Bigger brakes for towing heavy gear behind it. No other reason.

@KIWI_TERRANO.
Like someone said though. It is a SUV. I "had" my 400KWS for going fast.
But I'm happy with the Cruiser's stock performance. :D

@lilpigzuk.
"I have only seen photos and heard stories what he did with "400KWS", so being you guys are nutswinging his upgrades to the new VX, I am phuckin glad I am not in the same island :lol: ( :lol: is very sarcastic)"

Heard stories huh? Then you make comments like this. :roll:

Had the emission gear taken off the intake manifold. Before it was cleaned it looked like this. :shock:

Yeah I'm thinking about that mate.

Some of the goods from the old 80 is on the new one now.
Still got rock sliders and gauges to install plus a new snorkel to fit then lastly tints. Then it'll be good to go!

had both of them lined up at the lights on the way home and my old 80 SMOKED my new 80. The 31's and manual are no match against 33's and Auto.

Nah. I just wanted cleaner interior, green and 24 valve. But in saying that, the older truck is a good one.

@wopass.
"swap the lockers AND the brakes"?
The housings are different which would mean swapping the whole axle front and rear. And I found out today some of the wiring loom is missing to make the factory lockers function.
So I'm looking at Harrop's Eaton electric lockers at this stage.

The triple lockers I had in the last 80 was good enough for me to want them in this 80 nibs. Simple as that bud.

ok, swap the entire diff assemblys from the early model one into your new bus then put the bigger brakes from the new bus on and the smaller brakes on the old one... easy!

:mrgreen:

i personaly would just get some ARBs for the new bus, heaps better!!

I hear ya wopass.
I've thought about swapping the whole assembly over but the locker loom is missing on the new 80. And to be fair, the original lockers in the old 80 were a bit temperamental but they are good right now.
I've owned a set or front and rear ARB's in my FJ40. And instead of running all those air lines and compressor that can get hooked up with sticks and shit I'm keen to try a new system that doesn't use air. :wink:

Really well. But @ Tiger Tints they're dearer than when I got the last lot done last year. But he did an excellent job.
First lot was $350. This time $400.

I'm missing the manual wopass. But LOVING cruise control. :wink:
I had it in the mud this weekend. Was good to see the lsd's working well. But yeah. The triple lockers are missed too.
