Ask ORE leader Mike, he did the 3.5 carb swap to an extremely cheap 3.9 injected serpentine belt motor. What are the rules with stockcars? Same displacement add injection, or same block with efi, or same block, internal mods allowed?

Hi Pete,

Yeah the 3.9 will bolt straight in the only difference is the bore size is bigger to give the larger cc's. The heads are exactly the same so 3.5 inlet manifold will bolt straight on.

rules say must be stock

no injection can use a 2 barrel carb, no headers only cast manifolds, can change the cam

the motor in the car is high compression (max allowed is 10:1) motor no bigger than 248ci theres other little rules but thats the basic ones

cheers
