Nissan ED33 or FD33

Hi Guys,

Is there anyway of working out the difference between the ED & the FD, I have just purchased a L/R with one of the above in it. Would love also to know where to find the engine # on it cant find it so far.

looks like a FD... FD doesn't usually have the two hoses at front top. But that also depends on what they got the engine out of.

After a little research it would appear that is from a bus...but be aware you may want to put the line in between the thermostat and the radiator....so not to airlock the head unless they have jacked the radiator up in your 4x4 higher then the engine..and before any one asks...that is the little dimple protruding from the left hand side of the thermostat housing ...
