2013 Kiwi teams challenge

Post by SV1K »

Thanks right folks, it's on again! bigger and better again!

I can advise that we are limiting the numbers with ONLY three trucks per team. There is no tag-in tag-out. Each team is recommended to have at least two winches, minimum of one winch per team.

You MUST start the challenge with all three trucks drivable but don't need to have all three going to complete any stage. I.E. You start stage one with three trucks and one of them can't finish no problem, just finish with the remaining two trucks and let us know back at the map collection point. If you are able to get the truck going again it can join back in, if not then you can continue with only two trucks and take a penalty for the remaining tracks. Each truck must finish under it's own steam/power.

Entry form :
http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/2013KiwiEntryForm.doc

The entry form will need to be filled in then emailed to the address on the form. Payment details are also on the form.

In the mean time, keep an eye on this thread as it will be updated as mentioned before.

Team so far.... well it has filled up fast, the Levin Club have two teams, one from Capital Cruiser Club and the Goodies also have one team,
TBS have also put a team together and there is a ORE Team too! We have a team from Auckland coming down too... that leaves 3/4 spots!! Be fast or they will be gone before you know!!

Cheers

looking good guys

just a quick couple of heads ups...............

1. A Ground Anchor would be a desirable item this year

2. if you are towing with a 2wd vehicle then it is advisable to either take off your comptruck at the gate or if you are capable of getting to Green Hut turnoff, then please remove comp truck on the sealed road by the shareholders houses. The track to the Green Hut is very slippery and has thick mud in places. It will just save the congestion and also will stop you from wrecking the road any more than it already is.

Thanks

Skid

open/soft top vehicles require helmets

enclosed cab do not

according to reece

In my opinion, I would everybody wear helmets as the nature of 4wding and in particular, competition 4wding means there will be a lot of rocking of the vehicles body and the possibility of smacking your head on B-Pillars etc etc, but thats only my personal opinion and not the rules

In previous years, I was certain that helmets were the rule but this seems to have changed somewhere along the way
I would also like to point out that in previous comps held at Rallywoods, there has been vehicle rollovers although we definitely dont set the course out to cause rollovers
