Did a run up to the bombing range weekend just been and the drive up the beach was challenging to say the least and consumed 1/4 of a tank alone.
Got me thinking about the need for long trips to have a 10 or 20 litre jerry handy.....anyone got pics of mounted jerry's on the rear door or spare wheel ?
Jerry can mount
Re: Jerry can mount
If you go when the tides right you can head up there in rear drive on the hard sand and shouldnt use much gas at all.
Or do this

Not a good idea, there is enough weight on the door hinges already. Better to make a steel rear bumper and have a swing-out arm on that.
