Can anyone help i want to be able to talk to my co driver while raceing.in car but would also be good to talk to him when he out of truck with winch.looked on trade me no joy cheers

thought about bluetooth headsets? best if you where a helmet as need to mount to something.

Do they need to run through a base set.what sort of distance do the work over

These bluetooth sets won't be the cheapest but they are very good. There's no base units needed for most modern bluetooth units.
I use it on my motor bike helmet these days but it did the job good when we were doing winch challenges.

Some of the uniden radio packs come with headsets which fit in your helmet
