suzuki escudo 1994 2.0l diesel

have a mazda rf engine and auto trans in my suzuki escudo.1st 2nd & reverse working fine does not go into 3rd and o/d - o/d light flashing intermittently what may be the probable cause and is it easy to fix?

Sounds like the transmission is putting out a fault code with the flashing light according to Google. Didn't realise these trans were computer controlled.
