gas pedal freeplay on a disco

my gas pedal has a alot of down travel before the engine revs(the wife with short legs hates it), can i tighten this at the pedal end, or do i need to adjust the throttle cable?

idealy i want it so its sensitive with out having to push it half the way in

If its just slack in the cable then you should be able to adjust cable at throttle body under bonnet.
Has large black plastic screw type adjuster so should only take 20 seconds to sort.
