Hilux-Surf diff housing Wanted

Post by hosehustler »

Hi All,
i'm after a diff housing to build up a new front diff for my trailer queen hilux.
What i'm after in one of the more robust housings that were on the V6 surfs etc, doesn't need a carrier or R&P so anything considered as long as it looks like the pic here
I'm near Chch but happy to pay freight from anywhere in NZ
cheers, Tim

cheers for the replies, I've managed to score a high pinion housing which have the strongest forward motion of the Toyota 8 inch diffs, chucked it in today and had a measure up, it fits the queen well, lifts the drive-shaft up well outta the shite.......now just increasing my knowledge as to whether my existing locker and carrier will fit, going to import a Nitro 29 spline R&P and flange to fit up

Hi Tim,
Locker should fit, only difference might the bearings.
What ratio are you after as i have got a Yukon 4.56 Hi Pinion R and P here.
If different ratio do you want me to get a price as I need to get a couple of things so could share the freight cost, plus may be able to geta better price forthe R and P 29 spline.
Cheers
Tim

Hi Tim,

Make sure you get the drive flange as well as it is not included, extra cost, also check the freight cost as it may add up enough to get stung for GST
Cheers
