I hope to have the vehicle ready by then (most likely untested) but ready. So yeah I'll be there banner and all. I may have the loudest but slowest v8 there running straight pipes with one straight through muffler on each bank poking out the side (didnt get a chance to get the exhaust done properly).

Should be a fun day, tell you what Al, if the LR runs ok and can actually compete and the terrano beats it points wise then I'll get ya a box of speights. Means I owe three boxes of speights, two to hosehustler and one to you (if I loose ).

I hope people will be there with vid cameras, we need all the footage we can get for offroadexpress TV   I aint saying anymore :afro:

I'll be there to give the Discovery another workout. Hopefully I can go a while without breaking anything else.

Hey Paul (PR), it may pay to tighten up the bolts holding the body on the Pajero. It would be a good idea to keep it attached to the chassis.

Hey Paul you might want to take along some spare parts unless you can remove some of the lead from your Ladys right foot.

I'm sure that the guy upstairs has a sense of humour. I'll put in a good word for you. 8)

there is 1 or to mud holes an one decent water hole (bonnet deep on a hilux) there has only been about 25 entrys too so still another 25 to go. all this info is from the guy who is orginising the event. im almost definatly going in it as long as i can get the $$ to get a lil work finishd on my truck 1st.

Only 25 entries so far??? That is a pretty poor turnout. We might have to put the word around a bit more or at least put on a good ORE display. I thought we had 7 or 8 trucks keen?? :?:

#1: For a start with the MRS driving I would need at least two complete vehicles to take parts from!!!!!!

#2: The MRS has lead in right foot due to kicking me in the arse all the time!!!!!

#3: The guy upstairs must have a sence of humor??? He got a kind, quite little person to turn evil    around mud (THE MRS)

I was talking to Rick from 4wd accessories, hes helping make it I think. From what I gathered its in an old quarry, with grassy banks, one mud hole (man made) and one water hole (man made too). One of the stages is a ramp to test your articulation. Should be fun.... I suppose I should really enter.... hmmmm. would be my first drive of the truck in a year...

Dont just think about it do it, for the last year or so I've heard you talk about if you had your truck you would have been on all the trips, well you will have your truck so youve got no excuse now    Put one locker in the rear and your away! two days left to enter, should be a fun filled day. Remeber you dont have to do all the obstacles, I dont have a snorkel on the LR so not sure if ill do the deep water one.

Just remember bill, the whole site will be most dissapointed if you dont enter and will give you shit about it on every trip you attend from now on

ha you think youve got it tight.

This is my list to get mine done for the trial and I only have till tuesday as I'm off to the U2 concert and dont get back till sat night before the trial. (driving up)

get fuel pump mounted and plumbed up
seatbox cover with sheet metal
fuel tank mounts welded
fuel tanks fitted
exhausts done
rollcage redrilled and bolted
wire the rev counter and plumb oil pressure gauge in
wire the whole ignition system in permant with switchs and battery cut off switch
mount front tow hooks
put gear sticks in(dam gotta find those)
sort out heater hoses
mount some sort of aircleaners (no snorkel, just dont have time)
final mount the seats and harnesses
find the nut for the steering wheel
put the guards back on.

Now that should make it drivable,

after that I have to
swap diff
machine a couple of mm's off drive shafts
change tyres from surf to LR

all by tuesday night.

Dam what am I doing on here....back to the garage.
