ORE Welly Manufacturers/Team Recovery Challenge

Post by Jerry »

Time to put your truck where your mouth is.....

Advance notice of an upcoming ORE Manufacturers/Team Challenge event, this event WILL require rated towhooks mounted properly and rated strops etc, Idea is a team of eg 3 (this can be eg 3 Nissans or Zuks) or mix and match if you want, there will be shiny as well as hard hazards. Having a winch on 1 vehicle is an advantage. If you don't have a team turn up and we will see what we can throw together.

Day is designed to be fun, family and spectator friendly, BBQ at end of the day.

If you wish to take part in this event get your rated hooks sorted now.....

More details to be advised.

GO TEAM DAIHATSU!!!!

All hazards will be optional, especially harder ones for the shiny trucks, I'm sure we can dredge out 2 more nissans.....what about Mark and his whale....theres one....

Team Names would be helpful too......

3 trucks per team as well no more or less, the hazards will be designed for this, also some hazards eg may be that 1 truck at random has to go thru in 2wd. you get a certain time limit to get all of your trucks thru the hazard.

Still organising more to follow.....

What, we Marty to just tow us behind trucky the whole way? Is it just one recovery if he tows us the whole way?

Only have to worry about doddzee, but he will be towing the Shedrover the whole way anyway

Looking at a day around 27-30th of December (why be stuck at home with the relatives when you can be out 4wd'ing  )

Location is Totara Park

Trip fee is approx $20 per truck/driver*
* This allows for truck sharing but this is a pain in the ass so not recommended.

How does the date suit everyone?, will put a limited invite to the other local clubs (limited by the amount of teams entered...otherwise its get too big...), spectators are welcome.

All I can say is that you will have fun, there may be arguments within the teams, its not a serious competition, and expect the unexpected. ....and there will be some serious hazards for those teams that wish to try them

You don't know what evil hazards I have planned.....    I don't mean evil as in climbing a 90 degree bank but evil as in "you want us to do what?"

Be afraid ....be very afraid.....!!!!

PS I'm happy to document this event eg the hazards and how to setup the event for other area's wishing to run an event like this....
