Good road manners, awesome off road and tows well (both ball sizes).
Owned 5yrs and have spent a lot of time and money on good parts, fabrication and maintaining it properly with the intention of keeping it for a long time. Only reason I am selling is for a 4 door.
The good:
- 13b turbo engine has done 180km’s (swapped in at 300km’s)
- Rebuilt head (2011)
- New water pump
- Recond radiator
- 4wd works perfectly
- Manual locking hubs
- EFS Elite front shocks
- EFS Elite steering damper
- PTO winch, 45m steel rope.
- New Nolathane spring bushes
- Grease-able shackles and pins
- New bearings/discs/hoses on front axle.
- 30" tyres 9mm tread + 2 spares.
- 15x8 black wheels
- H/Duty clutch
- New air filter
- Oil changed: diffs, transfer, gbox
- Lock-Right auto locker rear, imported from USA, prof installed
- New diff seals
- 3" mandrel exhaust + downpipe
- LED flood lights
- Custom made steel tube bumpers to suit the factory PTO winch (lifts it up & back for more clearance)
- Rock sliders/side steps
- 3" mandrel bent snorkel
- Extended diff breathers
- Excellent low km steering box (no play)
- Rust cut out of rear wheel arch, steel plated
- Springs in good condition clear 33's easy. Can run 35's with minimal rubbing (while flexed off road only)
- 650km to a tank
The bad:
- Occasional crunch into 3rd gear
- Dented drivers side front guard & door. Bolt on parts so can easily be swapped (has been like that for years)
- Paint is old and tired
- Fiberglass roof repair top corner
- Turbo (CT26) is a bit smokey until its warm up, I was going to get new seals installed ($400 for full recon).
- Glow screen is not wired up (these have no glow plugs), it starts first pop every time.
- Side doors have bit of rust, not WOF issue
Great Land cruiser, would like to keep it!
