Hi,

Have got a couple of New Yukon Zip lockers for sale.

The Yukon are assembled in the USA so more likely to have been inspected throughly prior to assembly.

Similar to ARB.

Can do for $1200 incl post for the V6 housings
and
Can do for $1300 incl post for the 4 cyl housings as you need new side bearings.

Yes will go in the back, any comp will do just needs to be the correct pressure.

Hi, yes still got a couple, regarding strength, don't have any personal experience, looking on the web Yukon certainly seem to think they are good, got a vid of a Dana30 locker breaking five 4340 axles at about 6500 ftlbs with no damage to the locker, compared with the ARB video in 2009 showing a Zip locker failing at about 6500 ftlbs because the locker case split, looked like a cast material type failure where as they now say it is forged which will be much stronger. Only you can decide what to do.

Hi,
I emailed Yukon about the ARB video to see what the story was, below is their reply.

In regards to the Zip locker in the ARB video, this was a pre-production unit that was not meant to be sent out to customers, we are still not sure how they got ahold of it but I can assure you that all of our Zip lockers are forged. The Zip locker has the best warranty in the business, a 6 year, $2000 collateral damage warranty blows our competitions warranty out of the water. The reason we can offer this kind of warranty is because our Zip lockers have proved to be extremely durable and as far as a “failure point” I cannot answer that as we have yet to see one. Our competitors warranty is very strict, in other words they do not honor ANY warranty if their product is used in “competition,” where we set no such limitations.

He also said the warranty is only valid for the original owner, ie did not cover 2nd hand lockers.
