Would really be keen to see any ideas/ pics examples of various rear protection bars, particularly on GQ SWB.?
(Im on 33s with no body lift currently)
Im about to have my rear quarter panels done this week, and next phase would be a new rear bar.
Ive searched this web this evening but haven't really found that many examples.
Particularly keen to see anything that gives protection for the rear tail lights. Will fab myself.
Thanks

i just used some angle on that one, my new one has brackets that wrap around the chassis. the box is 100mmx100mm and the tube is 90mm, i got most of the steel from scrap dealers, my new one is built entirely from offcuts from work so free.. it is very similar but some improvements. the lower part isnt led's its ally chequer plate, it was to hide the open ends of the chassis as it had a body lift, also saves the tank a bit on drop offs.

Did you use the 2 existing captive nuts each side to bolt bar work on to chassis ?or weld to chassis?

i did on that one and i recessed the 100x100 to bring it closer in. on my new one i have cut the ends off the chassis and re welded the captive nut back inside the chassis. so now the 100x100 is flush with the back of the chassis. i had no plans just built it up as i went, its not flash but i cant afford to pay someone to make me one and it does the job and almost free apart from my time and a few bits.
