Im pretty sure its one of those situations where the mistral has been re produced with different parts.

But it sounds like you may have gotten the 33 spline unit, whereas you want a 31 spline unit.

You can use your crown wheel and pinion, and just find a 31 spline lsd center, most people sell them as a safari front lsd center.

wrote the info wrong way round, you may be trying to put a 31 spline unit into a 33 spline terrano

Best bet is to count the spline in your diff center and pull one of your axles out, and count the splines on the end.

as for swapping out the axles, im not sure on that one, havnt tried myself and dont know anyone that has.

no mistral axles are shorter.as they are based on the WD21 chassi.(the earlier terrano)

the R/L50 has more in common with the later D22 Nivara's such as axles diff gearbox combinations. as they were both redesigned at the same time.

For example the Manual box used in the 1995 R/L50 2.7 eti terrano is the same Manual box used in a 2002 ZD30 D22 nissan navara, just different bell housings.

If its a 95 with abs it will have a fixed chassie not a ladder chassie so bold lift wont be possible.

Thats if my memory serves me correct
