patrol/safari oem difflock oil

i assume ep 80-90 my book only gives details of LSD version so i assume same as front ?? it also says 5.3 litres in front ?? and 3 litres in rear doesnt sound right??? or is it?? thanks..

Got to use diff oil designed for it I found that there is 80-90 diff oil then specific oil designed for LSD if you have got one or it wont work properly.

figures sound about right from memory mate has a 88GQ SWB and from what I can remember the front did drink a lot more then the rear.

if your doing it may as well change G-box + Transfer oils too (if manual) use the same oil as standard diffs. Same process easy to do.

thanks, i have a difflock not lsd, i know the lsd oil is different, i just cant find in my manual which oil to put in my oem difflock rear, same as front standard 80-90 ??

the higher volume for the front is due to have a high pinion position

yes my mate has arb diff locks front and rear we used 80-90 Diff oil
