Airless Tyres

Post by Dirtydog »

Well some of you one here may have seen these before,

Image

Well just reading some of the Virm stuff, and come across this following sentence:

Under reasons for rejection:

The vehicle has one or more of the following types of tyre fitted:

a) a space-saver tyre, or

b) a non-pneumatic tyre, or

c) a tyre with studs, cleats, lugs or other gripping devices, or

So does that techniclly mean that these tyres would then be illegal in newzealand?

Thoughts?

Yea, it'll probably get changed. If these wheels/tyres start getting used (as oe that is). I mean, how many vehicles do you see using them? Remember, that if its a wof fail, then you get cert. So maybe the question would be- what are the cert requirements for running these wheels?
