Re: 4AGE swap
never worked on a daihatsu but I would expect the engine mounts would be the least of your problems . Expect they will need changing but what are you going to do for gearbox ?
Would another engine from a similar model not be better .
Maybe something like this

Re: 4AGE swap
just done a holden v6 conversion on my daihatsu rugger. used holden v6 + auto box and isuzu bighorn transfer case.
New engine and gearbox and transfer case mounts, radiator mounts, front and rear drive shafts.... pretty much had to do everything.
Also will the diff, axels, cv's... handle more power?

Re: 4AGE swap
my gear box in it current condition may not handle the extra power from the new engine, the current motor has done 350,000 kms , so by the sounds of it ill need new gearbox, tranfer box and axles as well , the cvs are in quite good condition , well the boots are anyway , not split or damaged , its been a good truck so i want to rebuild it with a new motor, ive seen some one one youtube put a 400 and something cubic inch v8 in a rocky of roughly the same age
