WANTED - Safari PTO bits

Post by Chewy69a »

Hi I'm after a Safari PTO driveshaft and morse / actuator cable and lever for my Y60.

Also after a winch for the front either safari or landcruiser.

I've already got the PTO unit on the gearbox but nothing else...

Anything considered.

I can't help with any parts but as for the morse cable your best bet for the cost of it is goto your nearest marine mechanical service place and get them to order you a new 33C remote cable and ends I think from memory they come in lengths of 2ft and upwards.

I have winch unit, Has broken side flange on the drum a new steel drum can be made up pretty easy to replace the alloy ones that always break.
and have control lever off a MQ but I'm sure could be made to fit. Dont have shaft or morse cable though
Where are you located

I just need PTO drive unit for Y60 the bit you have

Thanks all for your replies, that is good advice about the cable and I will google the part number and also approach Burnsco or similar marine shop.

I'm located in Auckland but prepared to travel, slmd32 - I've heard the safari aluminium drums have problems breaking the flanges so I might go with a landcruiser winch but trying to keep it all safari components up to that point.
