How much 9.5mm can u fit on a safari pto whinch drum

45-to 50 metres,

think 40m is pretty standard for a safari PTO drum without over crowding.

Cheers guys . Had 9.5 mm but ive snapped that twice so decided to go to 12mm got 40 m so will wind it on and see how full it looks.dose any one have a pic of a safi winch with the right amount of rope on it

I've got about 30m of 1/2" on mine and the drum is chocka. The last few mwtres of rope has a sleve over it, and it cathes on the cross bar at the back of the winch.
I'd say you will have to cut some off that 40m, but a 10m extension isn't a bad thing to have rolled up in the back of the truck though.

You could be right i may put 28m on drum wrap 5m around my horns on the bar ,and make a tow rope out of the rest
