The ARB ones are pricey but worth every cent. Can't comment on the TJM ones. I guess thats why you don't really see them come up on my tardme.

I had my one custom made (by my brother) as wanted a tube style and couldn't find anything off the shelf. Even though it was probably cheaper over all there wouldn't have been much in it and for all the hassle if i would to do it again I would bite the bullet and get a ARB one.

Depends what look you're after I guess.

i know i should spend the money on a quality one but cant justify that amount at this stage. had one lined up on trade me but it was pulled before auction ended. anyone got one cheap or even a tube type one.

I'll be building a new front bar for my 80 soon(Once Ive bought a winch off Tom). It wont take much more for me to build two at once..... But my 80 has a 50mm body lift and the factory front bumper is long gone.

For the price I recon that one is damn good.

Not wanting to put you off getting one made. But the one I had made cost over twice that one on TradeMe.

Another thing I had to sort out with the custom built one (as it's not airbag certified) was removing the steering wheel airbag. Then I had to get the truck re-certified ($$$).

ARB bars and the like are normally "Airbag certified".
But if your truck doesn't run a airbag you're sweet.

There's my 5c worth.
:D
