It's only 3 screws to take out, so not a big job.
If noone does have one, can anyone suggest a wrecker or someone who has ?

Also, apparently HZJ75 & HZJ79 blower motors are the same...

Cheers,
Tim

Toyota KZJ78/J70 Heater Fan Blower Resistor

Post by prado_boon »

Just a update in case it helps anyone.

New resistors are hard to find and Toyota want $120 for them (3 weeks delivery) so I ordered one from Dubai. Came in 10days and only cost $30+$20 for P&P.

Also, found out why the fan was shuddering and what the funny smell was...seems a small rodent friend had gotten into the blower........

Just thought I would add to this.
I have just bought the same resistor through https://partsouq.com
I had a few issue getting the site to work initially, it wouldn't load properly etc. Got it sorted and ordered on the 17/07, parts arrived on the 23/07, box was a bit damaged but part was fine. Part even came in a Toyota genuine parts box. Cost was about $40 incl. freight.
