td27eti convert to mechanical pump?

hi i have a td27eti and a mechanical pump and injectors off a td27 how do i time the pump up?

Top left of circle (?!) you can see marks on gears. Circle basically centred on TDC mark on block/pulley. After pump installed use dti to set timing to 0.59mm (+or- 0.02mm) (equavilent to 4deg BTDC).
Easy as 3.14

do i have to use the mechanical pump gear or the eletronic fly by wire gear?

Check them against each other to make sure they're the same, but you're probably best to use the original gear as you know its a good mesh with the opposing gears teeth.

both gears are the same size and mesh nice but the timing marks on them are 4 teeth apart

Probably best to keep the gears matched to the pumps. The eti pump may have a different TDC. BTW, have you sorted out the throttle pedal and cable to run the mechanical pump?

yes just welded a piece on the pedal and used terrano throttle cable.
so you say use the td27 mechanical pump gear

used the td27ti pump gear and timed as per service manual and it now starts and runs perfect
