WANTED - Toyota H55F Gearbox + Transfer

Post by NickReid »

Hi All,

I'm after a Toyota H55f 5 speed, as fitted to late 40 series, 60's and some 70 series. Transfer case too, though must be Manual Shift (ie. not vaccumm).

Prefer 10 spline input (ie from behind a 2F or 3F) but 21 spline could work too.

Prefer good condition, ie easy to shift, no crunchyness.

Will pay freight if you're not in Auckland.

Here's a beautiful Pic of a freshly rebuild one (with twin stick and disc p-brake)

Cheers

40 series were all 4 speeds, and 70 series are vacuum transfer so now your left with a Gearbox from a petrol 60 series or get a diesel one and change the input shafts.
Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

Unless you c an find a split transfer from a 40 that has a manual shifter.. It's what I have.. Just changed over the cases essentially and it was ok..

I thought the real early ones were 10 spline..? it's from memory about 28 spline.. will have to check mine on the floor.. has a rumbly bearing but otherwise ok..
