32inch. My m8 has some on his 91 surf and my 33's rubbed before i did my body lift. I assume the old ones would be very similar. Though if you are running standard rims you would probably only want to go to 31's and even then you might get a little rubbing on the front sway bar. go for the solid axel hilux offset and you will fix this problem, and you will need flares.
body lift will have no effect on breaks but you may need to space out your rubber steering joint, or get a thicker one or a longer shaft. The first two are very easy to do. no point gettin a body lift unless you are going to get 33's really. Unles you make a new rear bar you will get no more clearance as the chassis will still hang down and be the first thing to hit the ground (old rear bar conected to chassis and wont get lifted but if you lift you can make a higher rear bar and get a wee bit more clearance at the back.) unless you want 33's then dont do body lift in my opinion.
With bigger wheels your truck will be slower. Its up to you if you can handel this on the road. For me it goes way better off road so dont mind putting up with it going slower on the road.
